Honourable Comrade Godi responds to Our Plea to Invite SAA to SCOPA

Following two of our letters to Honourable Comrade Themba Godi, who heads the Standing Committee on Public Accounts (SCOPA), to invite South African Airways (SAA) to account for the rot taking place there, he has responded.

Open Letter to SCOPA’s Themba Godi – Please call SAA to come & explain its rot

For those of you not on Twitter, we post our articles there and in cases of open letters, we tag/ attach the article to the person concerned if they are on Twitter. This is what is perhaps the power of social media at work. Comrade Godi responded.

But sadly, not before all manner of accusations ranging from being a white monopoly capital stooge to SCOPA being selective. Social media can be ruthless too.

To those of our readers who doubted the integrity and  tarnished the good name of our Honourable Comrade, we’re open to retractions and reissuing of statements contrary to our earlier ones.

  1. The rot at SAA is still seen in the media as Black corruption and Sis Dudu’s making. For months now we al have begged parliaments committees to look at these issues. There is some hope, that the real culprits will be exposed. Thank you Pinky!!

    1. Thanks Sean. We must continue to use our right to access to information and demand accountability from oversight institutions to do their work across all the SOEs. Let’s indeed hope that the MPs will be as robust as they were with Eskom and SAA.

  2. Only if they do not just do a window dressing exercise to be seen to have done something when in fact they have done nothing.

You know, asking irrelevant questions and not pressing as hard as they did with SABC & ESKOM.

I’m disappointed Gigaba is busy giving priority to other issues such as challenging Public Protector in court while leaving IFMS Treasury scandal & SAA corruption to drag.

The Minister should not be an apologetic in this matters and if someone has more Authority on SAA it’s him.

  3. Thanx sis P…but until the board not only mama Myeni is grilled by SCOPA I won’t retract my accusation.

  4. Hey Sis PK, Im glad I made a contribution in pushing Comrade Themba Godi in the direction and I think he took it very well
