“A Devastating Loss But A Day Of Absolute Certainty of Ultimate Victory”

UPDATE: APC on the Passing of Its Secretary General Paseka Moshoadiba

The African People’s Convention of Azania (APC) mourns with sadness and shock the passing of our Secretary General Paseka Moshoadiba this morning, 15 January 2019. He was born in Wilgerhoek, Lindley in the Free State.
Cde. Moshoadiba served in the Central Executive Committee of the APC as the Secretary General. He started his politics in the PAC OF AZANIA, and its youth structures including Azanyu, PASMA and PASO during the 1980’s. When the APC  was formed in 2007, he became the Provincial Chairperson, and later the Secretary General until his untimely departure.
On behalf of the Central Executive Committee, the entire APC membership and the people of Azania, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the Moshoadiba family.
His Africanist and revolutionary ideals will always resonate among revolutionaries and intellectuals alike; on the African continent and the diaspora.
He dedicated his entire life in the fight against settler colonialism, neo-colonialism, monopoly capitalism and imperialism. The APC’s brand of African Nationalism which Cde. Moshoadiba was part of, is founded on the premise that the African people are their own liberators. The entire APC leadership and membership has lost a gallant fighter and an articulate leader.
As a great man of principle, a great African freedom fighter, a great socialist, Cde Moshoadiba also dedicated his entire life in fighting the system of exploitation of man by man. He wanted to ensure that there would be no room for a bourgeoisie society in Azania.
As a national hero who dedicated his life to the struggle, it is fitting that he should have followed in the footsteps of earlier giants like Mangaliso Sobukwe, Zeph Mothopeng, John Nyathi Pokela, Sabelo Phama, and many other selfless revolutionaries who endured endless suffering and incarceration during their lifetime.
His contribution to the liberation struggle remained unquestionable. He was a selfless servant and shining example to the African people.
Comrades and friends, this is a sombre and solemn day throughout the land of Azania. His departure is a devastating loss but it is also a day of the absolute certainty of ultimate victory for the oppressed in the land of our birth. We are assured of victory having had leaders like Cde Paseka who have shown us clearly that Pan Africanism is the key in advancing victoriously to rebuilding the broken walls of our land.
Cde Paseka leaves behind both parents, wife, a brother and six sisters and two kids.

Memorial services will be held in Lindley and various provinces across the country on Wednesday the 23rd January 2019:

Western Cape event will be held at Philani Centre, Khayelitsha on Thursday the 24th January 2019, at 17h00.

He will be laid to rest on the 26th January 2019 in Lindley, Free State.

Let the Spirit of Cde. Moshoadiba rest in peace.
LONG LIVE THE GLORIOUS STRUGGLES OF THE MASSES OF THE PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE WORLD!!!
