Nene In Gupta WhatsApp Group?

A TWEET purportedly from the journalism investigative unit Amabungane emerged yesterday which claimed the following:

Amabhungane: “Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene issues. His son Siya Nene successful Oil company funded by PIC [Public Investment Corporation] while he was the Finance Deputy Minister and Chair of PIC. Raymond Sifiso Dabengwa and Kingdom are both Zimbabwean friends of Nhlanhla Nene and were funded by PIC for an IPP project approved by Nhlanhla Nene hence Dabengwa is now sitting on the Eskom’s board. Mail and Guardian will soon run the story. They even have traces of money through Dubai (same banks as the Guptas). They say Nhlanhla Nene was not only linked to the Guptas but instrumental in funding many of their business deals. Some money went through Switzerland back to RSA into the account of Nhlanhla Nene’s wife. Apparently Nhlanhla Nene wants to resign as Finance Minister.”

Asked for an answer, the head of Amabunghane did not say the story was untrue but that they did not leak it. “We did not ‘leak’ this. We are not going to comment further”.
Reaction to the tweet
Matshela Koko, former Eskom Executive dismissed unlawfully from the power utility by the new Eskom Board: I did not take the stories about Minister on social media seriously. I assumed fake news but the response from makes me think twice.Ordinarily, Sam would dismiss the story with contempt.A “no comment” this time around raises more questions than answers. Comments?
Julius Malema: EFF Leader: We Warned you about Nhlanhla Nene, and the mob attacked us.
Andile Mngxitama: Lol the chap who marched against Zuma for firing Nene is now saying he warned us bout Nene. OK right. Flip floppers do their thing
